Week 4 Thing 9
I found a very useful website for me to learn how to use blogs and newfeeds in my math classroom. The site is: www.http://futureofmath.misterteacher.com . This site had lots of good information, as well as examples of how to use blogs in a math class. It was very neat. One teacher put a probablity project on the blog. The students did the project as a group and then had to answer questions using comments to the blog. Each student had their own label, so the teacher knew when each person had completed the assignment. I am so glad to see the different ways that technology can be used in school.
Week 4 Thing 8
It has taken me a long time to get my RSS feeds going. Life seems to get in the way sometime. However, I must say that now that I have done it, I can see that this is something that can be really useful. Basically, a time saver with everything located in one spot. Of course, it also gives me access to so much for information than I thought possible. I really want to explore more, so that I can really personalize my feeds. It would also be a great tool in school. The teacher could have the feeds listed that the students would need to look at or the students could share feeds that they found to be helpful in their assignments.
